National Concealed Carry Reciprocity
My two Democrat Senators voted Yea. How about your Senators?
I believe in States rights. But as a citizen covered by the Constitution, I do not believe that any State has the right to quell my rights that are guaranteed by the Constitution. NY, CA, IL, etc. can not tell me what religion to embrace when I visit them (not likely, but) nor can they quench my free speech (as long as it does not incite a riot, etc.)
What makes these States think they have the right to deny my personal choice of self defense and protection of my loved ones? They offer statistics that 'innocent' people would be killed by those law abiding citizens that carry concealed weapons. Duh! Innocent people are killed by the criminals that carry weapons against those that cannot defend themselves PROPERLY.
People with guns need basic training and I understand some States requirements to qualify for a CCW license are more lax than others, but get real - I have a right to defend myself - where ever, whenever. State lines do not guarantee my protection by said State's police force.
What say you?
