Well, she tried.

Birther movement leader Orly Taitz over the weekend posted a Kenyan birth certificate for President Barack Obama.

It was supposed to be a stunning blow for all those people who claim Obama was born in Hawaii -- as he claims and as his "Certificate of live" birth shows.

Alas, it took just a few days for snoops to find out that the Kenyan certificate for Obama was a fake, based on a legitimate birth document for another person.

How sad. The birther movement has suffered yet another setback.
