Welfare to work?

One of my family members married to one of my dad's siblings said something that made me stop and think. Imagine that! I have a thought process!
Non of us likes paying taxes to support deadbeat nasty aids infected crack smoking illegitimate baby having lice carrying herpes blistered welfare recipients. So while I was pooching about it, she pointed out to me...
"Do you really want some deadbeat nasty aids infected crack smoking illegitimate baby having lice carrying herpes blistered welfare recipient fixing your hamburger in the fast food joint or drying your utensils in your favorite fancy restaurant or fitting the sheets in your favorite hotel or the hospital with their aids and herpes infected hands at the very least?" BARF!!!
Even if the lowlife is somewhat clean compared to the worst, they're p'd off at those of us who work and have a few things so they spit in your food or drink...
She emphatically stated she'd rather pay the taxes to support the welfare that keeps them in their own filth than force them to work in places she enjoys going to. She has a good point. Which is worse? I sure don't want any contact with them... She doesn't believe taking them off of welfare would lower our taxes but it would hurt the economy by having undesirable people working in public businesses.
I've seen some scary looking people working menial jobs in hospitals. Even in the sterile areas where surgical equipment is washed and re-packaged. It doesn't instill confidence.
Which way is worse for the rest of us, welfare or work?
FWIW, she is a republican and pro-Bush.
