Royal Purple gear lube?

Please no oil wars now................
Is anyone running this stuff?
I saw an excellent deal in JC Whitney on this. $6.59 a qt.
How do you like it? Will I need to add friction modifier?
Should I get 75w-90 or 85w-140?
I do tow, but not often. Whenever I do tow, it's very hot out.
31' TT @ about 7000 lbs.
