building a steel RT/10 hood?
I have been looking to put an aftermarket hood on my 2nd gen truck but I haven't seen any I really like the look of as much as the stock RT/10 hood for the 3rd gen. I can't find an aftermarket one that resembles it other than a fiberglass one that is kinda, somewhat, not really close. I don't want a glass hood for sure.
I'm thinking about buying a 3rd gen RT/10 hood and cutting out the center section to graft it into a 2nd gen hood. I don't think it will be difficult and I think it would look WAY cool.
What do you think?
This is where I'd buy the new hood. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...e=STRK:MEWA:IT
And anyone that is willing to give up their stock hood that maybe replaced it with an aftermarket one would be greatly appreciated. I plan to take my time on this project and can't be driving around all "hoodless" while I'm working on it.
