Pyrometer gone bad ?

I am in need of opinions of pyrometer troubles. My ISSPRO pyrometer no longer works. I pulled the gauge out, checked the connections and all seems fine. Is there any maintenance of the probe or something that I should be doing to have it work? I have had it almost 2 years now.....do they last longer than this or is this the norm for these gauges?
