Just how slight is the tire rub w/305's on stock truck??
I need new tires NOW and I'm wanting to move up to 305's this go around. Based on the many posts I've read, it looks like there is about an 80% or better chance that the front tires will rub slightly with no lift and stock wheels. My question is just how slight is the rub? Is it enough to damage the tire at all when turning at full lock (I have to turn full lock regularly to get in and out of my garage)? Can you feel anything through the steering wheel while it's rubbing or is it pretty much unnoticable? I assume the tire rubs somewhere on the sidewall and not the shoulder of the tread.
If it makes any difference, I'm looking at the Dick Cepek Fun Country II's. I plan to eventually put on some D25 leveling springs and some new wheels but I don't want to put out that much cash at once.
Thanks!
Steve
