Friend Needs Advice

I have a friend who has a 05 CTD, and they are losing the injectors. Since they are under warranty still, they are just wanting to replace them that way, and then later upgrade them.
Problem is, they have the Quadzilla Commander (guage only- no chip). The tech at the dealership said that the Commander unit itself is a chip. In turn, he contacted Dodge, and flagged their truck, and thus their entire electronics and powertrain warranty is voided at any dealership. They are fighting this, but I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what they can do to get this resolved. They called Dodge directly, and they were no help. Anyone had this happen before?
