How to paint?????

I got one of those dash pods thats black and wanted to paint it to match my dash.....

It says its ready to paint dash pod....

So is there anything special i need to do to it? Should i just paint it and call it good or use some of that spray on prep stuff for painting plastics, then paint it?

I want to paint it right the first time so i don't have to take it out again for touch ups....

2002 Dodge 2500HD, Di-pricol pyro, boost, Fuel pressure, Mach 1.6's, Rip's 4" Exhaust, Raptor Lift Pump, Liner Sprayed N-fab Steps, Flares, and Rockers. D25's, Bilsteins, "DSS" steering stabilizer, mostly stock for now.
