Cummins Quick Check

I attended the last May Madness event in Las Vegas and was impressed with the representative from Cummins who demonstrated the use of the Cummins QuickCheck system. Just plug it into the appropiate vehicle harness and view engine data real time or save it to dowload into your personal computer later. He said that it would be out the last part of June. Last week I went to Cummins Pacific to purchase the unit and they sold me the old Model J-1587 which will not work on our Dodge truck - the harness adapter was round instead of rectangle and the software will not work so I returned the unit. I called Cummins and also logged on the www.cummins.com, which has Cummins Power Store. I talked to Joe and he said the new system for Dodge trucks will be ready the latter part of June. I will be using a Palm III to snap onto the adaptor. The adaptor only works on the Palms with the flat bottom. My harness Data Link in my 2001 truck is located on the bottom of the dash between the steering column and the manual transmission - it is black and rectangle in shape. I believe it has eight pins. Does anyone have more information on this system? I have not seen any Posts on this Web site on or in the TDR magazine.
