Hey, those of you who know me know, I just can't leave things alone.. Last week end, at Utah Dyno Day, I had Doug from Diesel Performance install, my new Air Dog Hood and Air Dam front spoiler! It's really cool looking, and is a High speed performance enhancer. What I have found out so far using this product is:
Turbo spools up ( I mean fast) from about 55MPH and higher speeds. Definate increase in power, and acceration at Higher speeds, Quieter inside cab noise, Turbo cools down much faster than before, and air Dam at high speeds provides better handlying. If you are expecting lower EGT"S, not noticable. This combo, provides cool air 6" opening on the hood and 4" opening from the Air Dam which is literally "Rammed" into the custom air box providing all the air you need. It's performance is most noticeable at high speeds, when turbo boost quickly rises, you are roomping on the go petal. More Air + More Fuel= More Power..Also more Heat. P.S. Since the install, I've painted the gray plastic bumper, the same color as the rest of the truck. Like the sport model..It even looks better IMHO.
