Exclamation BD TC or DTT TC...Leaning towards BD...

OK...not trying to spool up things here, but I may be upgrading my AT. I like the way it shifts (bone stock), I like the smoothness, I like the speeds at which it shifts, I like everything about it EXCEPT the slight flair of RPM at high horsepower while locked up. Dodge did a fairly good job here, I gotta admit.

I have been reading the posts about Bill K's stuff and see that people are really loyal.

I look at DTT's web site, and I see an impeller that is welded, not machined. BD's impeller is machined.

OK, here's the rub...isn't a machined impeller ALOT more accurate as far as angles of approach and departure AND isn't a machined impeller ALOT stronger due to billet properties??? It seems to me that welding produces heat stresses, porosity, warps the metal, etc, etc.

I have NEVER seen a steam turbine OR aircraft turbine OR turbo that is manufactured in this way (welding). I have an extensive background in steam generation AND non-destructive testing/metallurgy and cannot possibly see the benifits of welding an impeller (except if you don't have the CNC machining to do it from straight billet). BUT...I also am NOT a transmission expert.

I am simply looking for the best, most reliable product out there.

Those with BD, please chime in, havn't seen much on the board about BD...Those with DTT, I'm SURE you will also chime in, and that too is welcome.

And I also believe the BD PressureLoc is a temporary fix AT BEST!!! But I would gladly like some feedback on their Torque Converter and Valve Body. The people at BD seem to want me to buy ALL of their products (which DID NOT impress me).

No I have not called Bill K. as of yet, just looking for opinions.

I just want a slight upgrade, I don't want a full RACE transmission. Like I said, I like what I got, just got to do something about the lockup FLAIR.
