Some pics of my truck and latest project (Boost gauge included)

Here's a few pics of the truck. The project was the center console that I made out of plywood a few months ago. I got some of my gauges for Christmas.

The console is covered with upholstery padding and then Dodge vinyl to match the flip - up console and the interior. The panel the gauges are mounted in is 1/4" smoked plexiglass and is pretty brittle. It took more than a few hours to make all the cutouts and holes for the switches. It still makes me nervous to work with it for fear of snapping it in two. Top left is the boost gauge, center is trans temp (not hooked up yet), and right is the clock. Below that will be an EGT gauge and a fuel pressure gauge when money permits.

The switches are, from left to right: Marker light interrupt, Aux backup lights (Yet to be installed), Bed light, and cupholder light.
The cupholder light used to be the light that lit up the old fold - down cupholder. I moved it to just above the clock up under the big black dash trim and it gives just enough light so you can see where the cupholders are.

The cupholders came from a marine supply store. They are mounted in a panel that comes off to reveal a little storage compartment that I lined with trunk lining.

This project was a whole lot of work, but it looks like it could have come as an option and matches the interior perfectly. I did lose the ability to seat a center occupant in the front though. Not a big deal for me.
