Question Shocks

I have had Pro Comp 9000 shock for a couple of years now and yesterday I found the left rear one is blown. I got a hold of the place that I got them from and they told me to send it back and they'd send me a new one for the shipping charges. I'm ok with paying the shipping, but what do I do run w/o a shock for a couple of weeks? I asked the guy this and he got snotty and said it was there policy. I offered to pay full price and have it refunded when they got the other shock. Then he told me that depending on how the shock looked it might not be warranttied becasue of abuse. I asked to speak to his manager and then this real dink got on the phone and I ended up hanging up on him.

Now here's my question is this a Pro Comp thing? Any one else had to try and get one of these Warranttied?

I am looking at the new duel tube edlebrock shocks instead.

Any one tried these yet?
