Louvered Tailgates

Has anyone had experience with the various brands of Louvered Tailgates. Our truck is an everyday driver, usually without trailer, and I wonder if this will really help the MPG. It will certainly help my wife see the ball hitch.

Locally available brand is Hardy by Western Manufacturing in Iowa. I know there are other brands as well.
