Cool Weekend of Bombing!

Just spent the whole weekend adding a BD exhaust brake, 4" Jardine and Pyscotty! Thanks to all you good folks on the register, most everything went well. No problems with any of the components either. The 60lb exhaust springs did test my abilities. Neither of my spring compressors worked well, the springs would not compress straight and kept popping out of the tools. Is there a specialized spring compression tool for the 5.9? Getting the keepers to release was a bugger too. After the springs were in, I ran the truck until hot then changed the oil/filter in case I missed some dirt, etc. Good time to install Gino's finger touch drain valve. All in all, I learned more about my engine/truck then since I bought it last October. I have my silencer ring so the sound level from the Pyscotty is barely noticable although that may be just my hearing. No problems fitting the Jardine exhaust up or leaks and the sound is a pleasent drone. Best of all is the BD. I used to love my Jake brakes when I drove diesel car. While the exhaust brake does not have the power of an engine brake, it still is worthy. One note on the BD installation, drilling the gas pedal would be easier with an angle drill. Next up, post turbo temp gauge, bigger injectors!
