Thumbs up Power Edge Fueling Module

While I was at May Madness I installed Edge Products "Power Edge" and went for a spin on a back road (did not want to be fodder for Johney Law). I really like this product inparticuliar it's flexibility.

Installation: The module can be adhered to the lower dash with velcro just like the blue box. The wiring harness is drawn through the main wiring boot in the firewall. The several connectors for the MAP sensor are attached afterwards to keep the bulk down for fishing the wiring through the rubber boot in the firewall, good idea! The MAP connectors are such that you cannot make a mistake with the connections, they only go together one way. A secondary group of wires branching off the main loom within the engine compartment go to the battery, 12v and ground. The 12v power supply wire has an inline fuse holder within the cab for protection against shorts. A very key point to be made as this juncture is regarding how the wiring is attached to the pump wires. An ingenious connector which I have not seen elsewhere is used to tap the pump wire, this is the equivalent of sticking a needle into the wire. I do not see how this could be spotted by anyone once the block with the needle tap is removed. This is MUCH more suttle then the scotch connectors and I think a big plus. Now we are on the inside of the cab where you simply plug in the multi pin spuare connector on the wire loom to the matching connector from the box and your done.

Operation: This may be the most important part of all, this module has three fueling curves available. If you want to pull a trailer you may need to run a minimal fueling program to keep the egt in check. If you are empty you may want a hotter fueling level for maximum performance. This option is now available to you with the push of a button!
I love electronics! All you do is push the button and the led will blink 1, then 2, then 3 times to indicate the fueling level. Of course since the wiring ties into the MAP sensor the fueling is based on boost appreciation to control smoke. You won't get a check engine light as a result of the MAP signal control to the ECM.

Road test: A fellow MM attendee and I took off for a seat of the pants test. Well it is all good The power is delivered smoothly and seamlessly. I blew by Mike Crossley on the way home from MM just to see if I could break a few windows and the report was NO SMOKE! I propose this device is for the general populous as well as the horsepower heads like me, just push the button.

The pitch: I've tried a lot of products and this one is a keeper! This product is just coming on the market and pricing is competitive (less then any of the other boxes). If you have questions go ahead and post them here and everyone will benefit from the input. If you are interested in pricing then email me, Rob does not want that type of information on the BB. Brett will have inventory next week I am told so I hope to get a quanity of fresh ones for the BB members. I can tell you this, I will provide them for a significant discount as I need to purchase a significant quanity to obtain my distributor status with Edge Products.
