Rancho 9000 Gone Bad!

I have a front Rancho 9000 shock that has gone bad. It is a front shock with about 30,000 miles on it. I kept the setting on three.

During compression by hand , the shock has a jerky feel.

My wife and another passenger both told me they could feel a 'bumping' through the floor board. I sat in the passenger seat (for the first time ever) and felt it myself. Put the original shock back on and 'bumping' is gone.

I guess I will get to check out the Lifetime Warranty.

Should I be using a different setting. About the last 3,000 miles were I-40 from Arkansas to CA and back.
