It took me a good 1/2hr to find this post for Tim Barlow. I answered to someone elses starter problem which made it even harder to find it.

This is from the TST list back in September of 1999. If the problem is the starter contacts you might want to contact these folks...
Based on the article in the most recent TDR (#25 I think) I called the

and ordered two of the starter contact replacement kits. He told me right up
front that they were not in stock and was concerned that it might be a couple of
weeks before they were available to ship. I told him I wasn't broke down, was
ordering them as a proactive measure since I had one truck with 130K on it. He
relaxed and we agreed he would take the order (2 x $26.33/kit plus 8.50 shipping
for the pair = $61.16 total) and ship when he had the stock to do so.
The kits (I ordered 2 since the shipping was the same) came today. He didn't
charge my card until the day he shipped - I like his ethics. Very nice and
complete little kit. Has a whole lot more parts in it than I expected for sure,
and some instructions. I will photocopy the article from TDR and put the whole
thing, kit, article, and instructions in the shelf behind the drivers seat just
in case.
