DOR Rear Bumper

As I said I would get info on DOR's rear bumper. Well I just picked up my new DOR front bumper from Layne in his new shop. I checked with him on his new rear bumper. He didn't have one built to see at the moment but he did describe it and showed me some of the parts. It sounds nice. It will have a locking lid for storage, the lock is a push button indent type. Depth from outside front to outside rear of 7 inches, didn't get how tall it would be but if it uses the factory hitch I would say the same as the factory bumper. It is a tad wider than the stock rear bumper. It will use the factory hitch. The top of the lid will be some sort of european bar treadplate. It looked very nice. Defintely nicer than the regular diamond plate you see everywhere imo. Said it would hold a 60" highlift jack and some other stuff. It would have the d-ring setup same as the front. It would have lighted license plate holder instead of the recessed type factory style. Uses 1/2 and 3/8 aluminum as he uses in the front. The front and rear of it will be 1/2" and 3/8" for a thickness of 7/8". Doesn't have any provisions for integrated rear lights though. He said as soon as he got caught up on the front orders he would start building the rears. Says he already has several orders for the rear.

Any of those waiting for their front he had some at the coaters and another 10 or 12 on the shop floor that looked like they were pretty close to being done.

Profusely apologized for the long wait but that the move really put him behind but he was back up and running now and with some help.

Picture is worth a thousand words I know, but no camera or bumper to take a picture of nor did I get a price didn't even think to ask as my wallet was already empty from paying for the front.
