Exhaust drone gone.

A couple weeks ago my resonator and muffler fell off. I really liked the sound, not too loud at all. Even the wife didn't complain(till I passed her on the highway). But, it had a nasty "drone" right at 2000 rpm. I didn't have time to mess with it before I left town, thought I'd try a few things when I got back. When I was towing, 5600# out about 9000# back, it wasn't really noticeable. To my surprise when I dropped my trailer it was completely gone!
I don't know if it was just the 3700 miles settling everything down or the heat I put through it pulling the mountains but it cured itself. Yet another confusing drone "fix".
