Fleetguard Oil filters

I have been using the Fleetguard LF3894 oil filters and getting from Geno's. I found a local dealer and stopped by to see if they had any. None in stock but they had the LF3935 - which they say is about the same. I went to the Fleetguard website and checked the catalog for the LF3894 and it tells me the following;
Upgrade of
LF3885 Stratapore Media
LF3935 Stratapore Media Upgrade
LF3959

So my question is since the LF3935 is listed and it looks like it was a previous version to the LF3894 would it hurt to use the LF3935? Is anyone aware of problems with LF3935? I'm just figuring they had some old stock left over and aren't going to order the LF3894 until they are out or is my assumtion wrong? Any opinons appreciated.
