A-Pillar paint question

Just wanted to know if anyone had painted their own pillar gauge mounts to match the interior or if you have it done. I talked with a local dealer and he said he wasn't sure if the interior paint that he sells would work or not. I need to find out because my gauges and pillar mount will be here today.
