fuse size

How does one decide what size fuse to use with added lights? I am adding lights to my running boards and a couple others, these are lights that match the side marker lights on a 2nd gen 3500, 2 bulbs per light. so 42 bulbs total. Just to try them out I now have a 15 amp in them.
