Genos CIPA Heated Mirrors on a 96'????

Happy Holidays to everyone.

I'm likely going to install the CIPA towing mirrors from Genos on my 96' 3500. My truck currently has the chrome power mirrors (not the 4 post towing mirrors). What I'm concerned about is how difficult it would be to rewire the mirrors designed to replace the 98'-02' trucks with power/heated mirrors to install them on my 96'? I would love to install the heated/power mirrors, connecting the power portion to the original controls, and connect a switch for the heating circuit. Has anyone done this??? Is it a complicated re-wire (i.e. , 1 style switches ground the other switches power) ???? Someone has to have had the same idea. Any other feedback on the idea would also be appreciate.
