Home-built center console "Stealthbox"

Has anyone built a "Stealthbox"-like sub-enclosure for the center seat? Seems like it shouldn't be that hard, and JL Audio's price is a bit rich for my taste. Looks like it would be possible to cut/modify foam and support mechanisms, and fit a sealed box for a 10" or so. Still researching components, looking for experiences/opinions.
