rear brake upgrade?

i have heard about uprading the rear cylinders to 1 ton parts. is this specialy made up parts to complete this upgrade or can i just go to a parts store & get the 1 ton parts & do the swap. if so does anyone have the part #'s & hints as to set any kin of break upgrade to perform better. thanks
