Trexus tires w/Alcoa Hotshots

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Trexus MT's are very nice on the street, which was a big surprise. I just removed my BFG M/T's and was expecting the Trexus tires to be more noisy and maybe rougher in the ride department (handling also). But not the case. They ride very quiet, and I mean much less noise then the BFG's. What was most interesting was the ride, very soft and not the vibration/rumble of the lugs hitting the ground like found in most Mud tires. The rubber is much softer then the BFG's and soaks up much more of the roads surface, not allowing it to enter the cab. So far I really like the tires, they look aggressive and very different, yet ride soft. Seems like most other I see on the road like then as well, I got quit a few thumbs up during my test ride. I suspect they will wear faster the the BFG's , softer rubber means faster wear. It they continue to ride as smooth and quiet, then I don't mind loosing a little in turns of expected tire life. The real test will come when I hook up the trailer.
The Alcoa's, are new and so far look to be very nice wheels. I polished them out and then used "Zoop Seal" to coat the wheels for protection. This was a very simple process, and took only about a 1/8th of the Zoop Seal to do. Once mixed it has a 6 days lifespan, so I'll do another set of wheels later this week. I have hear many good comments on it's ability to protect, I'll post latter with what I have found. There is a big difference between the steel wheels and the aluminum wheels, must be 15-20 lbs. That would be alot to anyone that races their ram on the strip, or pulls with it. I like the looks of the Alcoa's, much more now that they are mounted. I was surprised with the finished product, and feel they make a great Tire/Wheel combo.
