Amsoil 5 gallon Buckets.........

I just got some of Amsoils 50 weight powershift tranny fluid in a 5 gallon bucket for my Eaton Fuller tranny. How do I get the lid off of this thing? I don't just mean the pour spout, I need the whole lid off so I can sitck my pump in it.
