music wire for o-rings
Has anyone out there tried making their cylinder head o-rings out of the hardened high carbon steel music wire. I have .051 hardened stainless wire but I need to go to a .055 width wire to true up my protrusion. The music wire is harder than the standard stainless o-ring wire and it doesn't seem that corrosion would be an issue as the gasket would corrode before the wire.
Any thoughts?
