which oil or filter?

Which oil or filters? Which oil/filter

I'm presently using amsoil w/dual filters I've been told by others that the wafers in the filter will deteriorate prematurely,and I should adapt over to fleetguard filters and start using L/E brand lubricants like many of the large fleets do.Has any one heard of this problem.OR L/E lubricants????
