While tranny is out what should i do?

I looked under the truck where the tranny was and i can see that rubber fuel line that i have heard is hard to change should i change that while i have the tranny out? How can i tell if it is bad. I think it maybe b/c at 2500rpms i have a bad miss. Do you think that it could be this line sucking air?
