K&N out BHAF in

Found dusting inside my turbo inlet!!! K&N is out, BHAF is in!!

As soon as I put the BHAF in a friend of mine walked by and said that the BHAF is not a good idea because it draws hot air from the engine compartment. How bad is this?? Should I just bite the bullet and go with AFE Proguard 7 Stage 2??
