Heat Exchanger

Ok got a question for the guys that has done twins.How do i go about getting rid of the heat exchager that mounted on the engine.I want to know if i can loop the tranny lines back to each other and the coolant lines.I'd rather be safe than sorry.So any feedback is need since i'm doing it this weekend after i get back from vacation.Thanks again for yall's replies.
