F.a.s.s Pusher Pump Installed !!!
...just finished installing my 95 gph FASS pusher pump yesterday (sat.6-11-05) with the help of fellow TDR member (and best friend) Larry Willard.(MANY thanks Brotha_Man!!!)....the install is very straight forward, had a little hassle removing the original retaining clip fot the fuel feed line on top of the tank, but,my eyes ain't that good, and it was dreadfully HOT yesterday!!! overall, its a piece of cake to install with a friend...(i did manage to break a drill bit,LOL...mea culpa).
the kit has EVERYTHING you need with the exception of thread tape (teflon) and naturally....i couldn't find my 2 rolls, and Larry couldn't find his either!!!....so, a short trip to the hardware store could not be avoided....the pump is a good deal quieter than my original Carter, with Carter 7psi pusher inline....it works like a champ!! i left the original system attached as a parallel backup,i just plugged the ends of the old fittings!!! we also added the '03 track bar and bracket to Larry's truck ( i had already installed mine earlier in the week) and the improvement is quite dramatic in my opinion.....so,all in all a very productive weekend for truck mods!!! ....i would HIGHLY recommend the FASS pusher to anyone looking to eliminate the troublesome original lift pump....i'll be towing in July,if any issues should arise,i'll be sure to post them here. ....many thanks to Brad Ekstam for his patience with me at May Madness '05....and for such a high quality product!!! ....tom
