G-56 Transmission

I was just informed by a well respected DC Technician the 6-speed behind the Cummins engine is now a Mercedes transmission. The G-56 "Getrag" 6-speed is behind the "Hemi" engine. This DC Tech has been to many DC Drive train Schools. I spoke with him again, and he says if you look under the current trucks with the 6-speed tranny and Cummins power, you will not see Getrag on it anywhere, however if you look under the current truck with a "Hemi" and 6-speed, the name "Getrag" is embossed in the case.
