Duel thermocouples?

Has enyone done this or at least heard of it? I know it can be done since that how jet engines are done. The have at least 12 wired in parallel to get an 'average' temp of the gases going into the turbine. If I did use two t-couples I would put the second one pre-turbo to get an everage temperature of the tubo to get a better idea of what the actual turbo temp would be.
