AFE and warranty problems?

I am just about ready to take the plunge and get an AFE Proguard 7 with the Torque tube put on my truck to help lower EGTs when pulling the big fiver. There is a dealer where we are now that sells them over the counter. He tells me he would not have any warranty issues with a CTD that had one installed, but he could not speak for other dealers, because technically it is a modification. We travel all over the western USA, so I never know where we will be when I need work done on the truck.

Has anyone ever had problems at the dealer with a warranty issue due to their after-market air filters? It is not practical for me to carry the stock filter around and switch it back to take it to the dealers. My ultimate goal is to lower EGTs while towing our fiver over the mountains. Eventually I also want a larger exhaust system, but I am trying the less expensive approach first.
