My box seems to set off the check engine light and various engine codes. There is nothing ever wrong with the vehicle. If I take the box off and reset the codes, then reinstall the box the check engine light will come back on and start throwing erroneous codes again.

Is this normal and is there a way to fix it? How can I reset the computer withought having to hook it up to an expensive machine all the time?
