Bad Dream? - BD Problems -

I wasn't going to post this because I am not the type to publicly bash a vender. However after talking with a few people... The story needs to be told. I wouldn't want someone who is looking for a good trouble free transmission to choose a company with customer service like this.

Here is the whole story.

Purchaced the trans from Randys off Road, had it installed at Agressive Off road because randy's was booked. Got the full warranty, install was spotless. Truck ran and drove great for months. Service was great as to be expected.

Took truck upto BD because it lost lockup. They told us that there was a recall, and the solenoids (sp?) were in backwards due to a mix-up with a new guy in the VB shop. It was their fault and they would take care of us.

One week goes by. We get a call that the TC was fixed and to come and get it. We get it, cross the border, and OD light came on, all by itself. Shifts down to direct. Locks up. OD button doesn't do anything. Restart truck, all is fine. For about 5 miles. Then does it again. We call them, they tell us to bring it back ASAP. He drives it to work, starts doing locked shifts from OD to 2nd. OUCH! Then there was nothing. Rented trailer, took it back up.

Another week goes by. We get a call. Truck is ready. Has a new TC, new trans. Come and get it. We do, this time it makes it ALMOST home and it starts shifting HARD and then grinding / squealing. Get trailer again, take back up.

Two weeks pass. We call up about every other day. Truck gets two other trans, and 4 other TC's. Finally is done. They told us that they had a problem with their TC shop. That this is another "series" of trans.

Get up there to pick it up. Had them leave the keys in the fuel door (After hours). I find one of the tires in the back of the truck and the spare on the front right. Look at the tire in the back, there is a straight cut from the tread up the sidewall about 3". Tire is shot. No note, nothing said on the phone about it. Ask them about it the next morning and they say that "it just was flat one morning". They won't pay to fix it. Looks to me that they hit it on the lift.

Get truck home and dad takes it to work the next day. Finds he has no cruise control. Then he gets stuck on the job site, and finds he has no 4x4. Gets unstuck and goes to fuel up the equipment with the inbed pump. No power. They jacked all the wires up. Call them, they told us to figure it out! And bring it back if we were unable to fix it. WTF ever! I will NEVER take another truck up there!

This is by FAR the WORST I have ever been treated by a vender. NEVER again!
