Plexiglass

I am trying to build my own intake system. I want to make a torque tube , intake filter box & use the AEM dry flow filter. I want to make the box out of 1/4 inch plexiglass. Does anybody know what temps the plexiglass is good for? Will it hold up under the hood? I know it will be much hotter in the summer and I don't know what the under hood temps are.
