Remote Start

I want to install a remote engine start on my 2005 TD. It's coming off a 2004 Envoy. My dealer says it will work. Do I have to program in a delay before cranking to allow for glow plug warmup ? How long would you recommend ? Do you know of any problems I could run into ? Thanks for your help.
