dodge on synthetic engine oil

I've got a question for all you guys who know more about oil than I do.(which is about everybody) I have been running delo but truck now has 16000 so sometime in the next 6 months or so I will be switching to synthetic.
In the new issue of tdr page72 dodge prefers if we use synthetic to use 5w-40. So what weight synthetic are you guys using? I was planning on using amsoil series 3000 5w-30 any comments?
