03 lift pump died, FASS / Glacier Question

My lift pump just died at 67,000 miles. I'm looking to replace it with either a FASS or a Glacier pump. Which would be the easiest to replace the stock pump with? I've read that the lift pump is connected to the filter housing on the 03 model truck. Can I remove the lift pump and retain the stock fuel filter housing? Any thoughts? Thanks...
