Questions on EGT Sensors

I am curious what your guys opinion on a good EGT for the Cummins is. I have an 07 5.9L stock but have a Superchips Flashpaq I would like to install. Also curious what your opinion is on how long I should wait to intsall this chip I currently only Have about 9000 miles on the truck.
