Kalifornia smog rules and boxes.....

CARB says 2010 is the year they want the $$$ by starting diesel smog checks. My modest BANKS Big Hoss box came with a "CARB Approved" decal some years back. How are the more potent boxes going to deal with CARB? I seem to recall there will be a visual exam included to find the nasty gophaster devices so simply turning down your box down to "TAME" might not cut the mustard.
Anybody have any info to share?
