Can I put a 7100 pump on a 24valve motor?

Since this deals with both models of the 2nd gen I figured I'd put this post here. If it should go elsewhere I'm sure illflem will move it..

I might be getting a wrecked 2000 truck. I want it for the drivetrain (to upgrade mine). One question I've been pondering -

Can I put a 7100 pump on a 24 valve motor? If so, any idea of what needs to be done for that? Just curious.
