Who Uses What Turbo ?

I was wondering how many different types of modified turbos are out there, who has done the modifications and what are the pros and cons of the turbo. I am looking for a super reliable turbo that will keep my EGT's below 1300 and not exceed 36lbs of boost. It also has to be quiet in normal operation because I drive lots of miles. The jet-engine whine does get old after a while. I have 275's and a blue box so I am not heavily fueled. All help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
