what is a good transmission to use for my 97 12 valve

i have a 97 dodge 3500 series with 140,000 miles on it
i travel alot and iam looking at puting a new transmission in it.
i dont want to brake down.
the transmission was suposubly never done so its stock thats what previous owner told me.
It has no flaws in it but iam just affraid of down time.

so who should i use what do shome of u guys run in ya rigs
i tow a 12,000 pound load.
