Looking for input on the BD antidefueling module

Here is my understanding of how the defueling module adds power.The engine PCM actually has a defueling program,that protects the trans by simultanuosly defueling at shift points.The module by passes this protection.Will I grenade the trans bypassing this program.BD advertises it is actually better for the trans.Some claims have been .5sec dropped from 1\4mile times using this module.Looking for any input from folks using the BD antidefueling module.Merv
